On the 17th April BWFCISS took the Football Studies Programme to Wembley to watch the First Team compete in the Semi Final's of the FA CUP against Stoke ahead of their own tournament in Madrid the following week.

At 8.30 the students met with the ISS Staff and Manager Dave Bailey at the Reebok Stadium where they were being collected by Executive Coach to enjoy the 3 and half hour long journey in style. During the journey Dave played Quiz Master in which a prize was on hand to the winner before they all took advantage of being able to watch a DVD and Sky Sports News to catch all the latest reports on the game ahead.

As they arrived in Wembley the atmosphere and excitement was building between the group as they walked up the famous Wembley Way with the magnificent Stadium in sight the supporters around them chanting whether they were Bolton or Stoke fans. The sun was shining over the Wembley Arch and it really couldn't have been a better day weather wise.

Inside the Stadium BWFC and Stoke were warming up and the atmosphere building between the fans was electric. The seats were fantastic in the lower tier on the sideline to the right of the dugout, as the two two teams went in for their final match preparations the crowd became louder and louder as flags and banners were waved and the teams were announced. As the teams entered the Stadium the crowd erupted and the experience for the ISS Staff and Students of the Football Studies Programme was unforgettable.

The 90 minutes were played and unfortunately the result did not go in favour for BWFC as they were knocked out of the cup, overall the day was a brilliant day and the travelling group were a credit to BWFC and the ISS as always. The journey home was a long and quiet trip but on the upside as a club BWFC can look at all they have achieved in the last 10 years of being in the Premier League, the best league in the world!
