The International Year Long Football Studies Program is well under way this season with lots to be optimistic about. We have around 20 boys on the program and they have got off to a great start with some surprising and pleasing results.

The big news is we have had 2 boys called up to represent their countries at International level in the prestigious African Cup of Nations at U17’s and U20’s levels, this will be taking place in Rwanda with the boys set to depart in December and return in January. The two boys are Mohammed Hany (Egypt U17) and Miguel Hamutenya (Namibia U20), Mohammed is only 15 years old but has been with the BWFC International Soccer School since 2007 on various programmes and Miguel has been with us since 2009. Dave Bailey (ISS Manager) comments;

“It is great for the boys and the program here at BWFCISS it shows how hard the back room team work, I know how much effort James, Myself, Mick, Matt and the others put in to make this program what it is. I do have to state just how well these 2 boys have shown great attitude as do all the players on the programme, Mo especially as when he came his athletic ability was a concern but since the start of the season he has turned it around. We wish the boys well and hope they come back with success and having enjoyed what will be a fantastic opportunity.”

At the recent Premier League fixture against newly promoted Blackpool the players and the backroom team paraded around the pitch at half time, the boys also paraded the Trophy they won from the Grand Skills Final game where they won 1-0 in what was a great game.

The Bolton Wanderers Football Club’s International Soccer School is really gathering a great reputation and is now regarded as one the best player development programmes in the world, for further info please see go to the Football Studies section of our website.
