Cockhill Celtic Y&FC welcomed the Bolton Wanderers International Soccer School to participate in a weekend of coaching with their 'Fun Soccer Academy'. Cockhill Celtic have taken huge steps over the last 2-3 years to help promote Football in the Community' and have secured the services of the ISS coaches to help move the clubs academy a further step forward.
With nearly 200 members, Cockhill Celtic were delighted with the visit and hope that the weekend can provide an appetite for the young academy members to continue with their interest in soccer and develop their potential (both Boy & Girl) to the next level. Dave Bailey (International Soccer School Manager) was one of the coaches who went over for the weekend said;
“What a great visit, from my point of view it went very well with the kids showing a great attitude to what we delivered and the coaches been open to change. We all agreed player development and coach education is the way forward. The ISS see this as a great partner club for us in such a beautiful part of Ireland, who knows what the future will bring but it’s very exciting for all involved. The ISS are looking to get the Cockhill Celtic coaches here during the 2010/11 season (our tenth season in the Premiership) and will be re-visiting them in September before their season gets going. Cockhill celtic are also looking to bring a team over which will be a real experience to see the Bolton Wanderers first team in action.”
