Valentina Gonzalez of our International Partner Club Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club in Ontario, Canada has been selected for the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) Provincial Squad. Valentine is the first girl to make the provincial squad in the club's history.

Her father Pedro also Head Coach said;

“We are all very proud of her not only as she is my daughter but from the clubs point as well, the training and guidance that the BWFCISS has given us certainly helped and she loved working with you guys and learned a great deal.”

Valentina also has been training with the U17's National Squad with Coach Brian Rosenfeld and would have been traveling to Spain with the Provincial Squad this March but has unfortunately picked up an injury which means she will not be able to go now.

Dave bailey ISS manager said;

“We here at BWFC are pleased for Valentina and it shows that our links to International Partners brings success. Making the Provincial Squad could not have happened to a nicer girl the whole family are a very supportive unit and a credit to all involved in Val's progress. I would not say BWFCISS can take too much credit for her success but certainly our link has lifted and motivated everyone at BWSC.”

We are looking forward to our ongoing link with BWSC, we have there U15's team due over in March and we are due out shortly after to assess and monitor the rest of the players. We have also planned again to have two weeks of summer camps again in July and we can’t wait to see the next step in this growing success story.

The BWFCISS would like to wish Valentina a speedy recovery from her injury!
