This week Bolton Wanderers Football Club International Soccer School welcomed the students to the Football Studies Programme 2010/11.

The Football Studies Programme 2010/11 here at BWFC in association with our International Gateway Partners EduKick began on Monday 20th September with a full day induction at the Reebok Stadium. The students who have travelled from all over the world went through rules of the course and also a football induction from Dave Bailey the International Soccer School Manager. The boys then had a pitchside photo for some of them this was their first experience of the English Premier League (EPL) and they all were very excited to be stood at the dugout, it gave them a real sense of what the BWFC/EPL experience will be like for them this season.

The students then had their first taste of pre season training with a very hard track run which some found a little too difficult to handle, the boys for the rest of the week will go through the BWFCISS Testing which will be compared to Academy and Professional Players. Also planed this week is a development game scheduled against an U16 Australian Tour Group so we will see how they adapt and cope with the UK weather, judge fitness levels and playing ability. Dave Bailey said;

“The boys for the first day have shown the right attitude to what is for most of them a big change in there lives, we are optimistic about the season ahead and are looking forward to seeing them develop and grow not only as players but as young adults as well”.
