BWFCISS is about to set off on a new and exciting venture this week as we will be going to the Shri Ram School in New Delhi, India alongside Pro Golf Marketing. We will be working with boys and girls of mixed ability and ages for a four day camp under which involves us putting them through their paces and comparing them against others from all over the world. The participants will be tested in a variety of ways all geared to assess the speed and agility of the athlete with and without a ball, the ones that come out on top will get the chance to enter the Grand Skills Final which will be held at the Reebok Stadium towards the end of the year. We will also be holding several education seminars as some boys have expressed an interest in joining our Football Studies Programme, we already have three Asian boys on from different countries. One boy is entering his second year here with us and he has shown great improvement from day 1 when he spoke very little English and was very shy, we now see a totally different boy confident, outgoing and much improved in his English and football.

The school itself was founded in 1988 and has 3 campuses spread over the national capital of India, the school was founded by Mrs Manju Bharat Ram it began with pre-primary section and a form added every year after that. The Shri Ram School is a day school with timings from 8.30am-2.30pm although it is an English Middle School, Indian culture is strongly valued. The school colours are red and yellow, the seniors have a tiger task force that visits nearby tiger reserves and helps in anyway that they can towards the conservation of tigers….India’s national animal.
